The wordmark is the face of Marex — the primary visual expression that we use to identify ourselves. This is why we need to be careful to use it correctly. Please ensure that the following brand guidelines are respected in order to maintain brand consistency. Do not create your own branded merchandise, or share our logo with any third parties, unless you have explicit sign-off from the design team.
For most use cases you should be able to use either of the primary logos. Primary Default on light to mid background colours and Primary Light on mid to dark backgrounds.
The Secondary logo should only be used on a background colour where the purple chevron will clash, or only a single colour is allowed.
We often use the secondary wordmark when printing on fabric, where only one colour can be used. We will also use these secondary logos for branding over detailed or busy images that need a stronger contrast ratio between logo and graphic.
The Chevron is to be used whenever the full wordmark will not fit or work in context. The Chevron must only be used in either Purple, White or Blue Dark. These are in order of importance.
Clear space protects the logo from other visual elements that would harm legibility and/or diminish its significance. No graphic elements should encroach around either version of the logo. The minimum recommended amount of clear space is the same as the x-height of the Chevron.
When possible, the logo should be placed at the top right of a document or design, with the Chevron aligning at 45° with the top right corner.
Always maintain the Marex logo on the right where possible, using the corresponding left hand corner for co-branding logos.
Incorrectly using our logo can have a very negative impact on the Marex brand. Please ensure none of these applications are ever used.
